I probably could put this in the pram section but I thought I would get more twin specific advice here.
I'm looking at buying a new pram to accommodate our twins arriving in May as well as my DS who will be 2y 2months.
I thought originally of getting the valco zee two plus joey seat, but have since had a change of heart. I am tossing up whether the toddler seat is really necessary and for how long. I also like the MB duet, but DS would have to skateboard, and the seats seem awfully narrow. DS is only 22 mos and is already too wide to sit in it comfortably.

What prams have you and other friend who are twin mums had success with? What features should I look for? Is there anything, or particular pram I should avoid?

not a lot of choices if you want your son contained in a seat.

I like the Zee two with joey seat it is easy to steer and not to heavy and bulky.


I had a ABC twin with top toddy but it was huge and bulky and hard to see over if you are short.

I love the Duet, but it does not have a toddler seat option.

I have the MB Duet and absolutely love it. I put my 2 year old and a baby in it, and carry the other baby in an Ergo still. I'll keep this up as long as I can. My 2 year old walks sometimes and then I put both babies in the pram.

I did think about getting the Strolli Rider adaptor thingo as that looked like a good option but just haven't got around to it yet.

My 4 year old (95th%) also sits in the Duet from time to time and is perfectly comfortable. So not sure why you think the seats are too narrow.

The Duet is extremely easy to push (even one handed) and easy to fold up too. My only complaints are that there aren't enough built in pockets, and the sun shade zipper openings are too small. Pretty menial complaints really.

I think it depends on what you want if for. if you plan on going for really long walks or you are out all day by yourself a lot, then I would recommend the Zee/Trimode/ABC. but if you just nipping into the shops, going out for dinner, visiting a friends, going into play/mothers groups, to the dr/hospital or have your DH with you, which I do most of. then a twin is fine and carry a baby. I did find having a baby in a carrier when i was out for long periods of time a bit of a pain because I had no where to put the carried baby if one or two of the others needed a cuddle. This only lasted until they could sit up about 6 months. Now I use a cheap target twin stroller, carry one and the toddler walks. My girls are quite light (8.5kgs) so it is still easy to push even with one hand and the toddler helping. (hindering lol) I don't think there is a perfect pram, I like to have a combination, I have a trimode i use as a quad and triplet, and target twin and single strollers. Works for us.
