Hi all, I am hoping one of you lovely experts cooks can help me. My DH desperately wants me to make the Snowy Chocolate Mountain from this months Australian Women's Weekly. I need to know how far in advance i can male it? Would it be ok in the freezer overnight? I will put the recipe below so you know what I mean. I can't even find it on the AWW website.

Snowy Chocolate Mountain

250gm plain choc biscuits, crushed
100gm butter, melted
6 egg whites
1 cup castor sugar
300ml thickened cream
1/3 cup cocoa
180 gm Bounty bars, chopped
1/2 cup shredded coconut

1. Grease round s.form pan, line base and sides with baking paper, extend paper by 5cm over the edge.

2.Combine biscuits and butter and press into base of pan, refrigerate while you prepare filling

3. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, gradually add sugar beating until dissolved.

4.Beat the cream in a small bowl until soft peaks form, stir in sifted cocoa. Transfer to a large bowl. Gently fold meringue into cream mixture, fold Bounty bars pieces in. Spoon mixture into the pan, creating a rough mountain shape. Sprinkle with coconut, freeze until firm.

5. Transfer to a serving plate, cut into thick slices.

The recipe says suitable to freeze, so i am guessing that means I could make it a day or 2 in advance and then just pull it out to serve?

thanks in advance

Jen

This is a shorthand version of the recipe, I can type it out properly if anyone wants.
