Hotel and resorts all over the world are increasingly offering children's treatments as part of their spa menu and parents are paying between $70 to $130 on spa treatments for their 'stressed' kids while on holidays.

Would you ever fork out this amount of money on a spa treatment for your child? Would your kids even want a spa treatment?

DD 8 would be all over that! But not because she is stressed - she just loves to be pampered. biggrin.gif

I have forked out all kinds of money for frivolous things over the years for me and the kids, I can't see a spa treatment as any different.

If that's how people choose to spend their money - so what?

I'd definitely pay that much for a treatment for me, I'm a day spa junky! ...I have a niece (10) who would love it....I probably would spend $70 - $100 on her to buy her a treatment....my son? No....he wouldn't be able to sit still for the full hour or so!

I do that sort of thing for myself from time to time. It's something that will be reserved for adults in my family. Or at least reserved for teenagers who can pay for it themselves.

Possibly. It wouldn't be an outright no from me, it would depend on circumstances etc. When you look at where they are being offered, you know you are expected to pay a premium price. I can't imagine that it would be a weekly occurrence.

I know my 7yo DD loves getting a massage and we've paid for her to have them done when we have been on holidays. It's all been part of the "experience". My son, however, prefers things more akin to para-sailing and jet skis.

DD would love it, not because she needs to relax but because it's 'girly' and she loves to be pampered.

I booked in for a 2 hour facial/relaxation massage next Friday to celebrate the end of the working year and 6 weeks holidays! Im all up for anything Spa!
