We haven't ventured out much but I'm wondering how other mums and dads manage the packing and unpacking of their infant/groceries/nappy bag etc and managing the bassinet and the chassis. What is your step by step procedure?

I hate the thought of having to place the bassinet on the ground in a car park whilst getting the chassis in and out. I love how easily the chassis folds and unfolds but it does flop about a bit when I'm getting it in and out of the car. Do you store yours with the handle bar on top or on the bottom?

Our boot is a reasonable size but it's impossible to pack both the chassis and the bassinet into it with the parcel shelf installed. With the parcel shelf, I have to put the bassinet on the back seat next to the car seat and even then, it's on a diagonal (had no idea how big it was!), and then I can only have one passenger in the car.

Doesn't have to be a Cameleon, anyone with a separate chassis and bassinet????

I don't have a Bugaboo but I just rest the seat/bassinet part against the car while I get the base out of the car. Same when I put it back in.

I can easily fit the seat on top of the base in the boot but my pram might be smaller or my boot bigger. All my groceries fit either side of the pram.

I have a Frog, so same idea.

We have a station wagon, so the chassis and seat/bassinet can fit side by side or on top of one another. When arriving and needing get out pram, I unpack chassis, set it up, put on bassinet then get bubs out and in seat/bassinet. Honestly, I would not hesitate to put the seat or bassinet on the ground as with mine there are things for it to rest on so it is not on the ground.

On arrival back at car, I put bub in car in seat, put groceries into car, take of bassinet/set and place into boot, then fold chassis and place in car.

Edited because I just reread your original post.

You may find things easier when you move to the seat - it is much smaller to stack together with the chassis which I have to do when doing a big shop.

Against the boot usually, standing up. The only part that touches the grond is the part she puts her feet on so a bit of dirt doesn't hurt!

Doesn't the bassinet on the c3 fold smaller?

I'm not sure but for some reason I think I read this was one of the new features.

I have a C3. Only picked it up today but i found the vest way to get it in the boot was to take the bassinet off put it in the boot. Fold the frame. Grab the bassinet with one hand and put the frame in the boot with the other hand then place the bassinet on top.

I do think it depends on your car. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee so the tailgate lifts up and the pram goes straight in i don't have to lift it up and then have it go down into a boot like a sedan or hatchback would.

The only way i could fit the C3 in my mum's suzuki swift was to put the bassinet on the backseat and the frame in the boot. No way was it all going to fit in.
