I broke my blender! It was part of a Breville Super Wizz Duo & unfortunately Breville say it can't be replaced with a spare
So - please recommend me a good heavy duty blender, one that will handle ice. Should I get a stand alone blender or one that has interchangable blender & food processor with one base? The remaining food processor on the Duo still works (but for how long?) & it takes up a lot of bench space. |

If you really love it, it would be worth asking on your local freecycle if anyone has the bit you need.
Quite like my kenwood FP it has a spice grinder and blender attachment too, but I've never blitzed ice. |

I got a new FP recently - others suggested a Kitchen Wizz Pro (I think!) but it was just huge. I ended up getting a Sunbeam which fits in my cupboard and was about $120 compared to 4-5 hundred for the aforementioned.
The Sunbeam does come as a combined unit too, which I considered, but I was in the opposite boat to you - still have a separate blender for the ice. |

I had the kitchenaid food processor - what a great machine - durable, strong, reliable.
Then I sold it and got a thermomix, now that is love!!! |

I read that as 'I need a new bladder'........
I was about to reply, OMG so do I! Dont get a Kenwood. My only advice. I would get a Thermomix if I was going to get a new one. |

I just came in to ask the same question! So I wont start a new thread. Im also looking at blenders. i make lots of smoothies and sometimes use ice. I currently just use a stick mixer one but it struggles with the ice. I'm after a stand alone too, (dont need the food processor), but want to spend under $100. So if anyone has any recommendations in that price range I'd love to hear it.
