We just found out we are having a little girl, but so far DH and I don't agree on names and don't have many ideas. Both the ideas that are the top of our lists are very close but don't line up so other ideas would be a great help.
Our favs so far are: Eliana vs. Elena One name that we both like is Isabella but I am thinking it is getting a little too popular now. This post has been edited by MikRo: 11/12/2012, 12:23 PM |

I prefer Eliana by a long way.
I also like Eliora, and just Liora/Leora. Ilana is overused in my family so it never cracks my list but I actually like it a lot. Alana/Alannah is nice as well. Isabella is very popular. Isabel, Isadora, etc. are considerably less so. |

How will you pronounce Elena?
I like E-len-na (stress on 2nd syllable) or El-len-a (stress on 1st syllable) but still with the "eh" sound. Not a fan of el-LAY-na. |

I'm liking some of these suggestions, some I have never heard before.
I also like Liliana (DH does not), and Sophia (also quite common) Rosiebird: We would pronounce it El-len-a (like Helena) Oh also DH wants a "leader" name but I am not sure exactly what that means. This post has been edited by MikRo: 11/12/2012, 12:29 PM |
