Looking for a name for the new baby due next year. Sibling is Sophie and our surname is one syllable 'ell' one.
Would love opinions on my girls list. Celeste Camille Elise Amelie Juliet Cecily Colette Claudette Lucy Elsie Elizabeth Katherine (Katie) |

The names I like and that fit well:
Celeste Camille Lucy (and would be cute to spell it Lucie to go with Sophie to keep the French thing going) Elizabeth (with NN Lizzie or Beth) and Katherine (with NN Kitty) would also fit. (Katie has not yet recovered from overuse for me.) Claudette and Colette are also great names that fit well enough but not as well as the above. Love Juliet and Cecily but they seem a bit 'big' with Sophie. Not a fan of Elise, Amelie, Elsie. |

I like everything on your list except Elise.
To go with Sophie I narrow it down to Celeste Camille Amelie Lucy Elizabeth Katherine which is not very narrow, but I agree with Gudrun about Celeste, Camille and Lucie being beautiful fits with Sophie. |

Thanks for all the feedback ladies. Hmmm, Celeste is doing well. Now I will have to see if I can get it past DH. I love Beth as a nickname for Elizabeth but as our surname starts with a B, it doesn't really go.
I'm surprised Elsie isn't liked better - I think it's quite nice (perhaps I'm more used to it, as I see it as a Scottish name?) |

QUOTE Celeste Camille Elise Amelie Juliet Cecily Colette Claudette Lucy Elsie Elizabeth Katherine (Katie) From your list I love Celeste as a stand alone name but I think Juliet & Elise are lovely & sound better with Sophie. I have a friend with a Sophie & a Charlotte, I think they sound good together. |
