So people liked the Artisinal Baby naming blog article.
I thought they might like this one too: http://www.mcsweeneys.net/articles/words-t...itable-meanings Given that we are so used to 'euneek' names now on EB maybe the list (above) wont even surprise people but will give people just lovely suggestions to add to their lists! LOL I will admit to a conversation I had with my parents when I was about 4ish 4 year old z-girl "I know what I will name my baby" z-girl parent "what honey?" 4 year old z-girl "Diarrhea I think it sounds nice" z-girl parents " 4 year old z-girl "It sounds like Dianna..." z-girl parents "um, honey... it means poo" 4 year old z-girl " |

Candida. It did used to be a woman's name, and now refers to an STD.

I've always thought Fellatio had a nice ring to it.

My mum and sister love to tell the story of me saying I wanted to name a girl Gasoline when I was little. I thought it sounded nice and didn't know what it meant.

When we were kids, my sister wanted to call our new cat w*n*er. No idea why and she would of been about 4 so no idea what it meant.
The cat was called Topsy as decided by parents. |

I always thought Hemlock had promise for a boy, except for the whole poison symbolism thing.
I still secretly like Iridesce and Viridiflora for girls but that's less the meanings are horrible and more they're just long and eccentric and clunky. I have issues with Caleb because of its meaning but that probably doesn't count as people use Caleb anyhow. Celerie for a girl has been puzzling me recently - but it does sound pretty. Melanoma is an oddly euphonious word. Lilligant, Victreebel, and Roselia are all Pokemon and unsuitable to name little girls. |

Mirena was the name of one of the midwives I saw at the hospital when I was pregnant with DS.
