I am stumped!

About 3 nights ago I forgot to buy night nappies for Miss 7. It was too late to go and get any so I took a deep breath and she slept without them. She normally wakes up soaked and soaked through her night nappy but lo and behold she was dry . . . . So we did the same the next night. Dry.

This morning when she woke up (she gets up early - well before me original.gif ) she had went undies. But the bed was dry and so were her PJs. We have a Brolley Sheet on the bed and even if she soaks through her night nappy there is evidence on the brolley sheet.

So now I am confused . . . and wondering if I keep up with the undies or not.

Advice please.

It sounds like she is just about ready to ditch the night nappies. To be only a little bit wet instead of wet through suggests she felt the change in her sleep and managed to stop.

I would try for a few more nights and see how she goes. (Maybe get some nappies just in case, but don't use them unless you have too).

Good luck

Don't go back to nappies. Many kids are just lazy (not intententionally) and will continue to wet a nappy. My dd#1 woke up soaked every day but then when we stopped nappies was dry straight away.

When DD1 was night training she fully wet the bed twice, but then there were a handful of other times where she just started to wee as she was waking up, which resulted in wet undies but dry everything else. Is it possible that this has happened?

Don't go back to night nappies, she sounds like she is doing fine.

My DD would have kept wearing a nappy and soaking it, I never waited for her to be dry, we just stopped using them (at her request) instead.

I wouldn't put her back in nappies either just let her wear her undies to bed.

She actually even said that "Mummy maybe my body (brain) knew I had a nappy on so I just weed but now I am wearing undies I just wont do it". I was just a bit stumped that she bed wasn't wet but I guess it could be that she stops herself even without realising.

Bumped off the princess pedestal
I had the same with DS#2 just last week. Even he couldn't understand why the undies were wet but not the pj bottoms or brolly sheet. I just shrugged it off and was grateful the only extra washing was one small pair of undies which could be thrown in with that nights clothes load. wink.gif
