My DH was always to-ing and fro-ing about baby number 3. Its me that wants a third, he'd be happy with the 2 boys.

I did the HPT yesterday morning before work (i left home at 5:30am, before dh was awake)

Was planning to tell him when i got home (didnt want to tell him on the phone), but he'd had a really bad day with the boys playing up and was stressed out and upset. I didnt want him to react badly, as i suspected he would in that frame of mind, so i didnt say anythng.

Im working again today, and just rang and already he sounded stressed out with the boys playing up. I told him to take them out of the house, they are just going crazy cause hes been home with them since friday and they havent left the house. Normally they are out and about with me and they are probably bored..

Then tonight, soon as i get home, he has to go out, and wont be home until midnight, so ill be in bed. Then again, tomorrow, im working all day and going to the gym after work.

I dont know when is going to be a good time to tell him.

I guess there is never a good enough time to tell them when you are expecting i must say i told mine over the phone, was going to docs for something completly different lol and found out was expecting i would just tell him and give him some time to think about it he might surprise you and be great about it or he might need time to come around,
I shouldnt be in here lol, but seen this and could not reply

You don't know how he will react so just tell and get it over with. You never know, if he is stressed out it could be the positive news he needs! Hopefully you get the reaction you want.

yeh i guess im worried he will say something like he cant handle any more kids, and it will make me upset.

Knottygirl. I have not told my dh yet either. we have 2 boys too. I am not saying a word till my scan tuesday. bloods are perfect but high so it could be twins, now I know the reaction to a third but twins I am not sure.

I havent be to the doctor yet or had bloods done. Im hoping to get in to the dr on tuesday this week. Im not going to rush to the ultrasound either, with both my boys i had an ultrasound at 5 weeks and didnt see the heartbeat, and it just caused anxiety waiting for 6 weeks to get another ultrasound.

He does say things like 'and you want another one' when the kids are playing up.

I will be 5 weeks 3 days, so hopefully we will see a heartbeat or at least measure correct to weeks, both boys I had scans at 5 weeks and saw heart beats so hopefully. I am really worrying about having twins. DH decided 2 was it and it was not til after our whoops that ended in mc that we wanted our 3rd, but our plan was next year to leave a larger gap between the thous an dthe little one, as the boys are 10.5 months apart. It will shock DH a little that we are already pregnant but twins may just bee too much for us budget, emotional, house size wise. So we will see.

In a way, i want twins, cause i have always felt i would have twins, but i dont think dh would cope. He barely copes now with 2.

I told DH the same day I found out. I couldnt imagine him not knowing. If he was home he would come to scans and bloods with me regardless of the stage. And I would want him to be part of it, good or bad, i know his support.
