I have 3 children - DS 7, DS5 and DD just turned 3. Till today both the boys have been in SNS Hi-Liners and DD in a Meridian. DD has outgrown the Meridian height wise though so we brought out the Maxi Rider - Problem is there is No way we can fit in the Maxi rider with the 2 boosters. So we took DS 1 (7 1/2 years) out - but the highliner doesn't really fit in well next to the Maxi-rider at all and moves around a bit.

Is there a slim fit, high backed 8-16kg seat on the market (or similar) that we could put DD in? We have 4 good dedicated boosters, so really don't need a convertable - especially since these are generally so wide anyway. I just measured DD - She is 100cm and 13kgs

We had the same situation when DD was born trying to fit the 3 across - I can't believe not much has changed...

Oh if it makes any difference our car has isofix points - do we think about importing something instead??

Thanks for your help - I really haven't looked much into car seats in the last couple of years so need to know what's out there now.

Isofix is illegal and would not solve anything..., it would actually make it harder.

The NEW MaxiRider T&A is meant to be slim.

I have my 5yo in a New SnS Compaq. My 117cm 7 yo still has room before his shoulders hit the too big marker. It is also good in that it sits high so I can do up the booster sets next to it.

I bought the maxi cosi complete air earlier this year for my 3 yo. Could be what you're after as its a forward facing only restraint with a built in harness. It's fairly narrow, I believe slimmer than the sns premier that she was in.

Any more suggestions please? We have just spent an hour doing the jigsaw puzzle of all of our car seats to try and make a combination work in my husband's car for a trip away. We have had to put DD back into the Meridian as there was NO WAY that the Maxi-Rider would fit.

Is there a list of the heights of the seats with inbuilt (5 or 6 point) harnesses anywhere?

DD is much lighter than the boys were at the same age (although still tall) so she should fit in the 5 point much longer than the boys were able to

As I said earlier the NEW maxi rider is a totally different new seat.

also the New Compaq is great between boosters and is a slim seat. You need to go to a baby store to try out these seats. Also what boosters are you using. Some are narrower then others.
