Hey all. Just looking for some comments on boys names. I struggle with boys names. I have a son named Joel which i love but if baby number 2 is a boy I'm a bit stumped.
I dont mind Will but think they should have a full length version for there adult life. I love the dutch version of William which is Willem. I worry though that that they might get a few ??? about spelling and pronunciation as it's not widely used in Oz.
I also love Josh/Joshua but do you think 3 J's in a family is to much (son and me both J's).Does Joshua and Joel sound kitch?
Or am I just overthinking!!!??
Thanks !

I don't think that anyone would blink at Willem. there is one in DS's class. He sometimes gets Will but mostly Willem.

Joshua and Joel go really well together.

I have a no same letter rule in our family...more from coming from a family where you didn't know who any of the Mr R mail was as we grew up.

Not a fan of the Willem spelling if you want it pronounced William but if you want Will-em then it's fine too

My nephew has a Willem in his kindy class (not Dutch)

I knew a fair few when I was at school (different place) as we had a big dutch community in our area.

There is also a cigar brand called 'Wee Willem' I think so people who are familiar with tobacco would know the spelling too!

It is a lovely name - you are over thinking!

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
I like Joshua and Joel together original.gif I don't think it is too much to have 3 J names in the family, but I'm not one to be bothered if people in the family share the same initials.

I adore Willem and think it is fine.

My daughters are both B's and the mail was never an issue. Because these days, they get so little mail anyway (everyone uses email) and by the time they were old enough to be getting quantities of "adult" mail.........bank statements, phone bills etc.....one had moved out. Then the other moved out.

I love the name Will. I would use it as the whole name, not short for anything. I'm not fond of William and Willem doesn't do it for me either, but Will is an awesome name for a boy and a man.

I think Willem/Will is a great choice and I wouldn't hesitate to use it. I also think 2 J names are not a problem - Joel and Joshua/Josh is fine. You have some good choices there!

Willem is a lovely name. I don't think that you will have many problems with spelling or pronunciation.

I don't think Josh and Joel are too close and 3 J names in the one family would not bother me enough to not use a name I love.
