Any one able to say, or know of anyone who had damage to reproductive system following a c-section?
Pre-Child #1 I ovulated often, had consistent cycles and now post child I have cycles all over the show. Ranging from 29-49 days and anywhere in between. Pretty sure I have only ovulated twice this year alone and following my #1's birth (c-section, emergency), my cycle came back at exactly 12 weeks post baby, even though I was still fully breastfeeding, and since then it's been awol.

#1 was delivered with a cut to his cheek, this makes me wonder if they were a bit rough getting him out they may have bumped or damaged me as well? Or could scar tissue have caused harm?

What should I do next?

Had pap, blood tests, taken folic acid (etc since August).

It can, really only way to know is a lap. I know one member who found her scarring went over her tubes and blocked them so could only have her second with ivf, of course that was after trying for a couple of years. Another member I know after failed ivf cycles for a second plus years if ttc without ivf finally had a lap to find her whole uterus filled with endo and scar tissue from her c/s. they are hoping now its cleaned up her next ivf will work as it was so bad there was nowhere for them to implant before.

So yes c/s can cause issues, but only way to really find out is to have a lap and have a doctor looked in there. Good luck.

My friend had a c-section for DD #2 & was told she shouldn't try for more children. Few years down the track, she started trying again. They were trying for 3 years & about to give up (IVF wasn't an option) - now they're expecting bub #3!

I am not sure what the complications were from her earlier pregnancies, but I know she has to have this one via c-section too.

Everyone is in a different situation though, so as Shellby said, best to go get checked out. Good luck

I suffer from a condition that is common in women who have had a csection. It is basically endo in the uterus, however you can't actually remove the endo from the uterus unless you have a hyst (which would remove the uterus) it does not cause ovulation problems though, and is similar to normal endo in that you experience pain. You do tend to have a swollen uterus and very heavy clotty periods though. And most women who have it have normal cycles (unless they are experiencing something else like PCOS or something which I do.)
