Hello,
Does anyone know when Air Asia will start doing sales for 2014?
Usually they start selling a year in advance..so sometime next year..but anyone know when?
Also do they always do the free seat sales every year?
I'm wondering if I should buy tickets in the normal sales or wait for a free seat sale?
I remember someone said they got an awesome deal for 3 adults and one baby return to kuala lumpur for under $500.

Please share your tips and how you got awesome deals from air asia. original.gif

Thanks!

Mum to Cooper and Pinky
Oh my fav topic! wink.gif

I find in the past they have two big sales a year. One being the free seats or taxes only.

I booked this year in May for April next year.

Fwiw cost wise it was for 2 adults, 2 kids, 1 infant. Which is essentially 4 tickets ( not much difference in adult/kid price at all )plus baby. We paid $1100. ( melb-kl return)

This has been our best deal ( in the past for 4 tickets we have paid $1400, $1200).

They had a sale last week for October next year ( for five tickets for us it would have been $1300)

It's also good to know if you want to travel onward from kl as they usually have both the international and domestic routes on sale at the same time.

Don't forget it costs a bit more for luggage and meals too.

Hope that helps
Bron.

I booked melbourne to Vietnam via KL return in their last sale for $384.50 return per person. This was with bags but not meals. It is for sept school holidays 2013. Melbourne to kl and return in a sale can still be had for $300 but you need to be quick. My only tip is that for the lowest possible price, book the return leg separately. They seen to charge less than a round trip.

We've had good deals with AirAsia for I think it was $300 return pp?

I'm on the look out for next year as well, we will need a cheap holiday after blowing our budget on the last one original.gif

For some reason I never get the email alerts (even after signing up several times) but they usually do facebook as well...

For those doing this the first time: have all your passport details handy on a piece of paper and don't waste time on the day signing up to their card schemes, as you may be timed out and lose the booking ( i have learnt this the hard way). Sign up previously and you can enter your passport details ready to go on the day and it should be easier.
