Hi,
Just had breakfast at my mums house and poured myself some OJ. Drank a gulp and realised it tasted a bit funny. Checked the expiry date - a week ago! Is this going to be dangerous? Will the baby be affected? I am currently on antibiotics for a UTI so will this help at all? Not going to tell my husband because he will blame me for eating at my parents house - their fridge and pantry is a nightmare.

The baby will be fine. They're tough little blighters! Even if you get an today tummy (unlikely) your baby will still be fine. If you're really worried call your midwife.

Nope, all good. I wouldn't do it again, but that's more to do with the horrible taste than anything - and I think having too much sugary drinks isn't good when you have a UTI, stick with water.

It won't do any damage. Worst case you may get a very mild case of food poisoning (happened to me with some off orange and mango juice years ago). I felt a little off but otherwise was fine. IF you do by chance feel off, keep hydrated. But really the chances of even feeling off are really very sli,.

The best thing you can do is not to worry about it.

Ive done this on a few occasions and nothing much came of it. Your baby will be just fine. If anything you may feel a bit off in a few hours and if by chance you do vomit or get a bit of an upset tummy just keep up your fluid intake, but again baby will be fine. Don't panic.

You should be fine OP! I drank week old milk when pregnant with DS1 and had a bit of a freak out. I went to my GP for something else but mentioned the milk and she thought it was funny I was worried and I would be fine, nothing to worry about!

Wow....

Op, it maybe worth having a conversation with your health care provider about what the real risks and consequences are of eating such things and why certain things are not recommended in pregnancy so that you have a balanced view. If you are having this sort of anxiety it would be well worth it to simply reassure yourself (and your DH as well)..
