Just thinking of getting a bee second hand and I was wondering whether sales come up that would make it worth looking at buying new? Thanks original.gif

Doubt it, unless you could get a bargain with shipping from o/s.

Great condition Bee Plus with some (limited) accessories seem to be around $600 on ebay, and Bee (the older model) for around $400 or less (depending on how many accessories and condition).

I'm really happy with my Bee, 2nd hand with LOADS of accessories for around $450. Absolutely spotless.

Would not pay retail/new price for a Bugaboo... but it's all relative to our priorities and how rich we are/n't, I guess!

thanks kjdean, I think they have it for 750 in the catalogue which seems better than other places new, not sure if it's as good as what you saw.

I think I'll stick to looking for second hand. Not set on original or plus, but it is for my nearly-two-year-old so I suppose plus might be worth the extra $$.

Lokum I think the best I saw from o/s was about $650 (508 EUR), but I'm not sure it's worth the saving in terms of having no warranty.

$750 for a new bee is a pretty good price.

When I was looking for a good deal last year I found that the savings wasn't worth it to get it shipping from o/s. Accessories are cheaper online though.

There has just been a new cameleon released so some places will be still be trying to get rid of the old one.
Every couple of months www.minimee.com.au has 15% off prams.

Yeah we ended up getting our Cameleon 3 for $1199 from baby wanting but they had the older one for $899. I found the newer version a neck of a lot easier to fold.

If you buy prams and whatnot online are you still getting the warranty though. That's what put me off buying online from overseas. Least if i have a problem i can go to the store down the road. Same reason why i wouldn't get a second and pram. You never really know how the previous owner treated it. In the case of bugaboo where second hand is still quite pricey i think id rather go brand new just to get the warranty and to know that it was new when i got it.

I justified the price to my DF by telling him he spent 40k on a car to travel in why can't we spend 1200 on our son. He quickly said yes haha
