Hi all, new to this forum

feeling very down today, AF arrived today, I was really getting my hopes up this cycle as for the past nearly 2 weeks I felt nauseous every morning when I woke. Strange, never feel like this normally. Maybe I was and lost it, definetly felt different this month.

Never thought TTC would be so hard I have made an appointment with a doc next week, I just want to see what our options are. A little harder for us also as hubby works away, so not always home at the right time.

Perhaps you could try IUI, that way when hubbys not home when you o you still hav a chance...

thinking about that, will speak with doc and asked to be referred to a fertility clinic maybe. just dont want to leave it too much longer, turner 35 in Jan feel like age is against me a bit. Rough day today, lets hope tomorrow is a better one

OP My husband worked away for a year while we were ttc. We were in the just see what happens camp. Unfortunately he was away during the week and I worked weekends regularly. So not as much trying as was needed. 9 months in I was diagnosed with probably having endo. The Gyno gave me four months to conceive or get a laproscopy to see if this was causing issues. The following month we moved to where his work was and the monthe after that I was pregnant with my now 3 month old DS. So definetly don't lose hope and try and work something out with your DH to give you more chances.

Got a +HPT friday last week. Long story short, we were trying on and off for over 2 yrs, had a chemical pregnancy last year and lost twins in june and july which i conceived while on the pill. I hoestly didnt think i could get pregnant again coz after the miscarriage my cycles were only 2wks long so wasnt ovulating. I tried vitex in my last cycle hoping to regulate my cycle and it worked, was told it can take upto a year for it to start having an affect but i guess i just got lucky... Good luck to you. I know the last thing you wana hear is stories of how quickly others fell pregnant but i thought i'd share alil of my story in the hopes that it gives you hope that even when things look their worst and it looks like theres no hope life may surprise you. It certainly surprised me twice this year.

DH came back last month a day early to hopefully catch it but not happening this month
At least I know the next 2 cycles he should be home

Feb it might change again, frustrating not knowing for sure if he will be home.

Do you know what type of 1st tests they do when you first see a doc?

thanks for sharing your story chloesmum, that def gives me hope. Im so sorry for your loss of the twins, it must have been a very hard time. I def think good things come to those that wait, congrats on the +

From what i know they check your progesterone, thyroid, lh, fsh which checks your ovarian reserve ie how many eggs you have and will probably do a hysteroscopy which is a procedure to check for any uterine abnormalities.

I was booked in for those before falling pregnant

Yea it was pretty tough I lost the first on a holiday in thailand and they wanted to do a d&c but thankfully i decided to wait till i got back home as when i went to the hospital they found another heartbeat, it was slow and bub was very small for dates so was told to prepare myself for losing it. It did help me see what i already had in life though. Also made me realise how badly i wanted to be a mum again though so DH and i decided to actively ttc again.

Op I would also suggest before you see the doctor. Write down anything you think is important. For example length of cycles any odd symptoms, the month you started TTC.

I know you probably don't have alot to remember but I know these things can go for awhile and also if you have it all written down as well as any questions you won't kick yourself later for forgetting something
