Hi,

I have had a very active bub (I'm 22 weeks tomorrow) but when I was driving to work this morning I realised I had no movement at all since I woke up and still haven't felt a thing. Has this happened to anyone else, what was the outcome??? Is she just have an extra long nap? I am going into the antenatal clinic after work.

I suddenly couldn't feel movement at about 27 weeks and it was because DS had turned and was kicking towards my back. I just dropped into the hospital and the midwives put on the fetal monitor just to make sure. It may be nothing but is always worth getting checked out if you are concerned original.gif

Try drinking some ice cold water or eating something very sweet, like a donut.

Go have a big glass of something cold and sugary (like a coke) and lay down, my tip is baby will mvoe for you. If you still feel no movement then go to the clinic.

This baby is very different to my first she generally has 2 hour nap periods a few times a day but a cold drink usually wakes her up if i feel like shes been asleep too long.

My DD1 on the other hand never had a problem dont think she ever slept and still doesnt lol

Goodluck let us know how you go original.gif

Definitely call the clinic. You can also try having a really cold drink and sitting still, sometimes you may just miss the movements due to being busy.

The exact same thing happened to my sister last week, but she is 31 weeks. Sugary drinks did nothing so she went to the hospital where her OB advised her to go and they strapped her to the monitors and everything was perfect biggrin.gif

All the midwives said to her it's always best to go and get checked out, don't ever feel silly.

Good luck, I'm sure it will be perfectly fine.
