My parents have been told by their neighbour who is organising fence repairs that all fencing contractors are busy and the fence won't be fixed till mid -January. Does anyone know if this is true?

I dont know if its true but when the fence fell down in the heavy winds a while a back at our place it took them 3-4 months to get it fixed, so its true that some contractors can be busy especially with the repairs that need to be done......perhaps you or your parents could make some calls to contractors to get an idea as well?

thanks Hiddensecrets. Parents won't make the calls, that's what they have been told and they believe people, not me, I believe no one.
Just thought I'd put it out there before i make a few calls myself. Sounds like it will take a while. Thanks original.gif

Our fence that blew down in September was only fixed last week. Apparently our fencing contractor said they were so busy from the March storm that is has just had a flow on effect the rest of the year.
So I dont think having to wait until January is unreasonable.

I wouldn't be surprised. There are still a lot of people down our way waiting for fences to be fixed from the storms earlier this year - ther are just not enough contractors doing the insurance work!
