Hi! Hope Im in the right place

This has been DS first year of daycare - he started in March. There have been 2 main carers in the room. Both have been absoluately fantastic - both with me and DS!!!

DS has some special needs in regards with vision and they have been highly accommodating and interested in doing everything to help him - along with some highly tedious tasks such as working to keep his glasses on!!

I was wondering what to get each of the staff. I would really like to show my appreciation.

What have others given in the past??
What do you plan to give this year??

Now that DS1 is older we give chocolates or similar. But when he was in the baby room, the two women there gave him SO much care and attention so we or them both bottles of perfume. They really appreciated it.

OP, my DS started day care in May and this is his first year at day care and I have been thinking just like you as to what to get for his carers. I have not had the chance to speak to other mothers.

Not sure what the norm is since its my first time in this situation. But I have decided to do a hand made crafty thank you card (with the involvement of DS). Might give chocolates.

There are 4 staff in Liam's room. They each will be given a $20 Myer voucher (along with a card and drawing), and then a box of chocs for the whole childcare centre.

I'm doing cards made by DS and small Westfield gift vouchers for the 2 main carers, plus a basket with choccies, wine and biscuits for the centre as a whole to cover the floaters (who cover the RDOs and sick days) and the carers from DS new room as he has been transitioning the last few weeks and will change over next year.

I'm doing wine. A bottle each for the teachers in each of the girls room and then I'm going to give two bottles of bubbles for the staff room so they can all have a Chrissy drink.

My girls have also made a bracelet for their teachers.
