Long story short, I have two lovely little lost doggies in my backyard. Waiting for a ranger to come get them, God only knows how long for. I've got a bowl of water out for them, anything else I could do? One seems quite old and shuffle-y.

Also I think I love them.

Will reward help with photos.

They'll probably be fine, good for you for getting them off the street. Hope they are microchipped!

As long as they have water and shade they should be happy, of course if you had some other little tidbits they'd probably fall in love with you and never want to leave! I hope they have tags or microchips so they can be reunited with their people quickly.

Do I get pics now???

Water and shade for now will probably keep them fine. Perhaps take a pic of them while they're with you to make up a "Found" poster to put around the place.

Let the ranger know - perhaps you'll get dibs on adopting them if their owner doesn't turn up biggrin.gif Good on you for taking the time to look after them.

My feeling is that they are very loved family pets so I'm hoping they are microchipped. One is the very scruffy leader and the other is like a little old fat man corgie following along.

I was in a hurry to go somewhere and then I almost ran over little fat man. Le sigh.

It's so entertaining just watching them waddle about.

Yeah - just give them comfort and kindness wub.gif Much like humans, dogs can easily instinctively work out when you are trying to do your best by them.
Water, shade, perhaps a bit of food if you have soemthing you can give them (they might have been lost for a while and be hungry) and just leave them to rest - they'll love you forever!

I'm a bit of a lost dog tragic too....everywhere I live I seem to "find" the lost dogs! I guess it's becuase when I see a dog on the roads etc, I always stop and make sure it's safe and if not and if I can catch them, I'll take them home and help them find their owners.

Never been hurt or bitten yet. As long as they are basically well, you come to them in non-threatening way adn they are an average family doggie - all good and owners are always SO grateful that someone took the time.

I would be, I know it.

Nice thing to do cclap.gif

What a lovely thing to do - water and shade is really good and liver treats if you have them on hand - but unlikely if you dont have a dog currently. Now we want pics!

Depending on your weather, somewhere cool and shady for the dogs to lie, or somewhere warm and protected. Put down some old towels or blankets or something soft for the dogs to lie on. The old dog will probably greatly appreciate that.

Give them lots of pats and ear scratches if they want them.

Maybe a tennis ball or something squeaky to play with?

I hope that they can be reunited with their owners soon.
