Comfortable flat shoes. Wear joggers if necessary.
Support stockings. Just like the "attractive" knee high ones that they put on you in hospital to stop blood clots. Try a pharmacy for these. Take regular breaks while shopping to stop and elevate your legs for a few minutes. Lots of small short shopping trips instead of a few long ones. |

Maybe have your iron levels checked? My ob said 90% of aching/restless legs during pregnancy or not is iron related. I had the same problem, have been on iron tablets (Ferro-grad c) for three weeks and have seen a massive improvement in the aching and restlessness especially at night.I find that at night if they are still sore an ice pack really helps sooth.
Good luck I hope you get some reprieve. |

Yes, I would agree with getting your iron levels checked. Have a blood test. My iron dropped dramatically when I was pregnant. In the meantime why don't you relax in a comfy chair and buy everything online. There are a lot of free delivery offers on at the moment.

Also get your Vit.D levels checked. I've just remembered that my legs used to be really painful when doing things like walking up a slope and it felt like my muscles were tearing apart. Turned out that I was very Vit. D deficient. After taking supplements and my levels returning to normal the horrible sensation went away.

I had this last week but I had aches in my left hand too. Went to the GP who suggested my magnesium levels were low. I take another pre-natal but she said elevit has 100mg of magnesium. I went home and saw I only had 20mg in mine. I took a straight magnesium dissolvable tablet my husband had and started feeling better. Then went and bought pumpkin seeds and almonds and try to have them with my breakfast everyday. My levels were lower and since I've been having the pumpkin seeds and almonds I haven't had those cramps.
