My fiance and I are getting married within the week. Once the Wedding is done, we would pretty much like to start trying for a baby ASAP. We definitely want to be pregnant by February.

So, my silly question is - should we just start having unprotected sex? Or is it better to chart/do all that technical stuff in order to conceive?

ETA - I stopped taking the pill last week. In previous times of stopping the pill my period came roughly 25-28 days afterwards.

To start with, i'd say just go for it.

Even when you are charting there is no guarantee you will be pregnant within a certain timeframe - however it will help to pinpoint the optimal time to try.

I would say just go for it without protection. The last thing you want to be doing on your honeymoon is charting! Plenty of time for that later......

Just go for the unprotected sex (feels better too ).
Aim to get a lot of action within the week after your period finished

charting took all the fun and romance out of it which is the last thing you want as a newlywed. Just stop using protection and have lots of fun sex!

I found the worst thing I could do is put timelines on TTC, it doesn’t happen because you want it to more and missing that deadline can upset you unnecessarily. I was married, healthy and at the young age of 21 when we started trying, it took me well over a year.

I'd say just go for it, but be aware it can take time for your body to get back to normal after being on the pill. It took me 6 months to fall pregnant after stopping the pill. Don't put time expectations on these things or it could lead to disappointment. Good luck.

i wouldn't chart but i do advise that if you really want to fall quickly then try not to get up straight after you've had sex as this can make it harder for the sperm to reach the egg, some reckomend laying on your back for at least 10 minutes, and i have also read to put a pillow under your bum this will help the little fellas get to where they need to go Hope this helps xx

Definitely this. Just DTD every couple of days to begin with.

Actually getting up after DTD is proven to make no difference. What comes out is semen and by then it has served it's purpose.
