Hi, my wife has been pregnant for 13weeks and 5days
My wife did blood test at her 12week pregnancy and Nuchal Translucency scan last friday when her pregnancy was 13week. We asked to send the result to Modbury hospital (in South Australia).
I just wonder that how long it would take to get result? , do we get the result via mobile phone ? or
e-mail or mail.

Thank very much

Birth works ... naturally
Test results usually go back to the referring practitioner, and then you see the person who ordered the scan to get the results.

Yeah mine went back to my referring GP.

Did you make an appointment to find out the result ? or the GP rang you up to tell the result ?

I had to make the appointment. My sonographer told me on the day of the scan that I was low risk so she didn't add much of value. She Didn't mention my posterior placenta either.
But I've heard that not all clinics/hospitals give you the results on the day

Results were forwarded on to my GP and Obstetrician. Obstetrician phoned me to discuss the results 2 days after my ultrasound (after the combined ultrasound and bloodwork risk was calculated by somewhere else in Melbourne - not my ultrasound clinic). I has a very low risk.

ETA: If you don't have an appointment at the hospital soon, I'd suggest your wife ring the hospital to ask them about getting the results original.gif Good luck!
