We need a new gas hot water system that needs replacing and I'm buggered if I can work out where you buy/look for these. I have a plumber who's fixed it for us but the bum has rusted out of it and it's time for a new one.

Where did you get yours or was it just supplied by the person installing?

Have you looked in the Yellow Pages under "Hot water Systems"? That's the first place I'd look, OR hot water repairers maybe. Or contact the company who made yours. Most should have a toll free number I'd think.

We actually bought ours from Ebay ... price included installation by a professional plumber and was far cheaper than buying one off the shelf . Very happy with it

We've been using the same plumber for years (DH's cousin Ex-partner). He's now retired but still does the occasional job.

We installed a Rinnai continues gas hot water system. This replaced a 16 year old gas hot water enormous tank that leaked and was rusty at the bottom. The new tank/wall unit takes up about a 5th of the space of the old one!

He supplied it and to have it all installed (materials and labour) cost just over 1k. The unit costs close to 1k but tradies get discounts so it worked out best if he bought it and we re-imbursed for materials.
