Hi everyone,

Please excuse me as new at this, never joined or anything in a forum before but felt like sharing.

My hubby and I have been married for 4 years and as not exactly spring chickens wanted to start a family straight away.

After trying for a while was told both my tubes badly blocked and IVF looked as if only option. So on the IVF merry-go-round we hopped. 6 failed iVF cycles / transfers later we still had no luck ( just a dramatically lower bank balance. ).

So after the last failure we decided to give everything a break for a while an go on holidays, had a fantastic time.... and well now discovered were roughly 6 weeks pregnant. yay biggrin.gif Did the old pee on a stick ( several boxes worth different brands, was convinced they must have all been faulty batches) Confirmed with blood test on Monday.

Off to see Dr on Monday for early scan to check everything is ok and all. Just has me dumbfounded as was told and convinced could never conceive naturally.

Just hope everything is alright... didnt realise you cold be so excited and scared at the same time.

Fingers Crossed

I've definitely heard of that happening before! Best of luck! I hope you have a wonderfully uneventful pregnancy!

Congratulations

I am in a very similar place to you My tubes are all clear but I have Low Ovarian Reserve and was told by my FS in August after 4 failed Cycles of IVF that pretty much my only chance of having a baby was to use Donor Eggs or Embryos. DH and I decided to take a break while we wait to see our new FS at another Clinic and then bam you would not believe (well actually you will) I POAS and within seconds I got a + I am now nearly 6 weeks along and my levels are looking fantastic but I am scared behond belief that something will go wrong, I am just trying to take each day at a time thats all I can do.

if you are Due in August 2013 please join the August 2013 chat thread.

It does happen - it did to me too - and I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant with a very healthy baby!

WE spent 3 years TTC with 2 miscarriages and another loss, clomid, IVF etc because I have PCOS and don't ovulate... well apparently I did at least once!

Everyone will try to tell you it's because relaxed and stopped worrying, but I think that's a load of BS - Its just sheer good (and much deserved!) luck!

Congratulations! The mix of fear and excitement is a strange one hey...?

xoxo
