Last summer was our first summer with a proper pool (we bought a house with a pool) and I bought a Barracuda T5 auto pool cleaner as I was sick of vaccuming the pool every day! It was a disaster and didn't work, continuously got stuck etc. Managed to sell it on Gumtree, as we had bought it on a website and they didn't honour any warranties. I spent the rest of the summer vacuuming daily
Anyhoo. Fast forward to this year and I am already sick of vacuuming lol. So I figured I might buy a cheap auto vacuum, and even if I have to give it a really good vac on the weekends, at least the pool will be clean enough so that we can swim when we all get home from school and work on a hot day. I have been googling and checking out some of the reviews, does anyone have a cheapish pool cleaner, ie. less than $300, ideally closer to $200, and can offer any feedback? We have a smallish fibreglass pool. |

I saw one advertised at Aldi a week or two ago. It was around the $100. I was going to get it for our pool to trial. We are renting and I don't want to spend a lot of money on pool stuff.

I dunno, I reckon you get what you pay for with pool cleaners. We just bought a new one a few months ago and it copes with a lot of leaves and bark. It's a Polaris and it was around $1000.
