Just wondering if its safe to use kegel balls during pregnancy. My pelvic floor muscles are stuffed after having DD nearly 5 yrs ago. They were fine during and after birth but since then they've been getting increasingly bad. Has anyone used them during pregnancy?

I've read on a couple of websites NOT to use them during pregnancy, only to start using then 6 weeks after birth. Shame, because my PF seems to be getting much worse & I'd love to use them now to help strengthen them
Maybe ask your midwife or OB? (and if they say it's ok, please let me know lol!) |

NO idea on kegal balls, but if you are worried or are having problems with your pelvic floor (during or after pregnancy), seek the help of a good physio who specialised in women's health/pelvic floor. Your GP should be able to refer you to someone if you want them too, but you don't need a referral for a physio.

Seeking the advice of a women's health physio is a good idea
This web site/blog is also a good read : http://www.alignedandwell.com/katysays/cat...y/pelvic-floor/ Here she speaks about why she believes kegel exercises don't work http://www.alignedandwell.com/katysays/123...r-pelvic-floor/ |
