DD's teacher won't be back at the school next year sad.gif so I want to get her a present from me. She has been so good for DD and has given a LOT of her own time to her. I have the teachers presents from the kids organised, but this is something from me to her. I'm also writing a card naturally.

She's 24, 2nd year out of teaching, gorgeous, funny, bright and bubbly. VERY enthusiastic about work lol. She has an Iphone 5 and an Ipad...what about a case for either? I saw a gorgeous hot pink croc leather ipad case just recently.

Any other ideas?

Just a thought, but if she has an iphone and an ipad, she might already have cases for them both. If you're open to buying vouchers, you could always buy her an iTunes voucher and give that along with a nice letter or card. original.gif

I know she just has a silicon case for the iphone...don't know about ipad cases though.

I hate giving vouchers! It just seems to show no thought to me!

If she loves her work she may love some new resources. What about a voucher to an education supplies shop? Of course that is work related and you might rather something that is for the holidays.

What about
* Dinner voucher?
* Massage voucher?
* Self made hamper with nice cheeses, wines, bikkies, fruit etc?

I like the iPad/iPhone cover idea! Plus a nice card and that is plenty really. I'm sure she will love just to know that her extra effort is appreciated original.gif

ETA: Oops just read your voucher comment!

LOL she is a teetotaller too! That's why I'm having such a hard time. She is young, iranian and still lives with her parents, if that gives a better insight to her.

If you know which type of iPad she has, you could buy a case from the Apple store and choose an engraving for the case. You could ask your daughter for ideas about what should be engraved on the case original.gif .

TBH I think a heartfelt card explaining what you love about the way she works would be the best part of the present original.gif

Are teachers allowed to accepts gifts over a certain value? When I worked in govt jobs we were not allowed to accept anything more than a token gift from clients.

My DP is a teacher and personally she would feel embarrassed to receive some of those gifts- not because she is not loving the sentiment behind the gift, but out of concern for the family spending money on her. She has always worked in low SES areas though. However the personal cards she has received from students saying things like "thanks for listening to me" are treasured and will be kept forever wub.gif
