Looks like they are going to start importing these dolls into Australia, to compete with Barbie and Bratz.

I wonder if it will cause the competition to rethink? Probably not I suppose wishful thinking LOL

They remind me of Matilda dolls. Anyone else remember them? Yep, those ones. The ones that weren't an overwhelming marketing success either

I had a Matilda doll, and I loved her! she had her own lacy handbag to live in.. it was kind of a drawstring bag... and she slept in there.

i think its fantastic! what a revolution, creating a child doll for a child. cant believe there hasnt been more of it. and speaking of dolls withthe scary looking eyes, what about the lalaloopsie dolls? dd has a couple of the mini ones, i think they're mostly harmless, but their button eyes freak me out a little...will have to google matilda doll to see what i missed under my rock...

They're quite nice.

I've always liked the Kelly dolls, like these and these. We have a beautiful picnic set with three friends (one a boy!) that I bought about 5 years ago, not sure if it's stll available.

I guess people don't want to spend with Mattel, but if more people bought along those lines, that would send a message to the big companies about what people like to see available.

I like them.
It's great they have children's bodies.

My three girl are neither Barbie or bratz fans so I am not sure they would like these anymore but I like the idea of them.

A nice alternative.

expensive though. maybe that's why not so popular? were they always so expensive?
i dont know, call me frugal but i think a doll in the $20-$50 range is generous enough for a little girl who will love it to er.. death.

I quite like them. My 2yr old isn't into dolls yet(I'm hoping one day!!) but I wouldn't mind buying the Lottie dolls for her, much better than Bratz that's for sure!
