brazen boldness
I am sitting here thinking if I want to send any cards, I better get started writing them.

We have moved house, so if I want to get any, I better send some first with our new address on the back.

Reasons for not sending cards so far are;
- I really can't be bothered
- I don't have any cool places to display cards at our new house
- seems an awful waste of paper/resources
- cost of postage

hmmm, what else?

Do you send cards? Why? Why not?

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
Nope. Don't see the point (in my circumstances) and can't be bothered.

Everyone I am in touch with are either people I see in person, or people I am in touch with online.

No and haven't for years, i mean probably 20 years.

My reason is this, i was the very good daughter who used to love the idea of writing cards & wrote them for the family- that made my mum happy, I would dutifully write the cards to the list of family friends etc...then lo & behold we met up with a family friend in a local club, she couldn't pull herself away from the pokies to even say hello. So i really started to wonder what was the point??? Why am i sending you a card when you can't even be bothered to say hello to me.

From then on i''ve hardly ever sent a card, if you're a good friend of mine I will wish you in person biggrin.gif

2011 was the first time that I primarily sent e-cards. It was so hard for me to make that decision because I LOVE sending and receiving Christmas cards. And e-cards are so impersonal, in comparison.
Anyway, this year we'll be doing the same - ecards to everyone with email, and then Christmas cards to those without internet (mostly older family members and friends).

We do.

Its great when you have relatives who live overseas/interstate. I also like to send a card to extended family...we catch up a few times a year or see each other at functions and its a nice to wish them a wonderful Christmas time.

Cobwebs are the new black!
I don't as I think they are a waste of resources.

That being said I do think it's lovely when I receive them due to the thought. I don't ring up the person and abuse them for wasting paper and accuse them of being a Liberal voter biggrin.gif
