Hello ladies I put my name down on the list at TCH maternity when I was about 6 weeks pregnant. I'm now nearly 15 weeks and still haven't heard anything. I've tried several times to call the antenatal bookings line and talk to them but it either rings out or I have to leave a message. Last time my antenatal care was with a different hospital where my appointments started at 16 weeks and were booked weeks in advance so this is all a bit confusing to me. What was your experience at TCH? When did you get your first appointment and how far in advance was it booked? Did they give you a referral for the 20wk scan at that appointment? Thanks

I am going through the birth centre at TCH so a bit different, but after initial booking in I didnt hear from them till 16 weeks, and made appointment then.
I think I had to get referral for scan through my GP though, cant remember sorry about that one.

My first was at 16 weeks (I booked it when I was 5 weeks). I had to get the referral for the 20w scan from my GP. My advice is book your appointments early if you have to schedule around work etc. I tried booking my 26wk appt at 16wks and they said I didn't need to book so early. So when I tried to book at 21wks I couldn't get in 'til the 28wk mark (although to be fair, this is around the Christmas/NY shut down). Good luck At my first appt the MW was extremely thorough, I was very pleased.
