Hi,
Just wondering what sleeping bags you use for your little ones? DS is nearly 4 months old and we have stopped swaddling (that's a whole other story!). I am currently using an ergo cocoon with his arms out but I think he like to be able to move his legs more freely than the cocoon allows.
What do you recommend? Are the grobags that much better? I am trying to work out why they are so expensive, lol.
Thanks.

I've always used Grobags. They are expensive but when you stop and think how much time your baby will spend in them, they are quite economical.

There are also great quality and will last more than one baby's use. I'd certainly recommend them but I'm sure there others who can recommend alternatives.

Dream bags are pretty much the same as grobags but a little cheaper: http://www.bambiniwarehouse.com.au/

I love my wool bags. Less chance of baby overheating/sweating because they are made from wool/cotton (all natural fibres). They are more expensive but they last from 3 months up to 2 years of age (so by the time you buy 3 different sized sleeping bags they do work out cheaper in the end). Both the woolbabes and the merinokids brands are good.

There's lots of brands that do sleep bags. Grobag have just done a good jon=b of making people think there is somethig superior about there's. Plum, Living Textiles and Bright Bots are other brands that do them at a cheaper price.

I use Grobags. They are great. They are expensive to buy here but the last 2 I have bought off Ebay brand new for between $20-$30 with free postage from the UK.
They only took 10 days to arrive.

I've always used grobags for both my babies as well. They give them the freedom to move around especially as they grow older but also keep them covered. DS2 was in one from around 3-4 months when it became too warm to swaddle him effectively. They are expensive but my grobags from DS1 are still in perfect condition for DS2

I've used gorwbag and dreambags, both are good.

I only ever get growbags on sale though, bambini pronto has them 50% off a few times a year and I grab some.

I have grobags, bubbaroo, plum and ergopouch. I like ones with a tog rating so I have an idea as to what the room temperature should be. Also one with natural fibres. I did have another one (can't remember the brand) but couldn't stand the side zip as it opened from the bottom up. I found with the above:

Grobag - good, great variety of designs, can be expensive but can get them cheaper from UK on ebay. I have heard that not all of them are all cotton (may be polyester inside) so need to check before purchase. Some of the jersey ones pil quite quickly.

Bubbaroo - not a great variety but lovely and wash well. Though the 1 tog is far far warmer than with other brands.

Plum - nice designs, washed ok.

Ergopouch - only have the warm one which is like a doona dress. Big fan of this one but haven't tried the lighter togs.

We used Grobags for DS - these were handed down from my SIL, some had been through both her kids, some just her son - they are all still in great condition and will be used again for our next one. So while a bit exxy they are great quality and will easily last a few kids if you get the gender neutral ones!

Not anymore - they don't sell them anymore.

I got grobags - cheap to buy secondhand or new from ebay (from overseas).
