Hi,

I have 11 days to go till bubs due date, due 13th of december, had my 38 week ante-natal on saturday and mid-wife said bubby's head is at the top of my pelvis, so hasn't dropped yet, I have been getting really bad pelvic pain last 4 days and lower sharp stabbing back pains, mainly wake up with it and the only thing that seems to relieve it is opening my legs wide and tensing my abdomen like I'm pushing, but pain just comes back, but tonight, felt a popping feeling in my groin area, just wondering if that feeling is bubby dropping a bit? or if any other mum's or mum's to be have experienced this popping feeling?

and can anyone recommend any exercises to help relieve some of this pain? Mid-wife said to take panadeine because panadol doesn't seem to work all that well but would prefer not to if I could relieve the pain another way. Hot showers doesn't really help either.

I don't know about the popping feeling sorry.
Can you get to a physio or an osteopath for the pelvic pain?

The mid-wife said If I haven't given birth by 40 weeks she will give me a referral for a physio.

No sign of waters breaking yet

i got lots of popping feelings in the month leading up to DS arriving at 39 weeks - each time I was sure my waters were about to break but no - they had to break them for me in the end. DD came at 36 weeks after spontaneous rupture of waters, so I was totally paranoid about every sensation. No advice about the pain sorry.

Sorry- I have no advice to help relieve your pain.

I don't know if you're aware, but you don't need a referral to see a private physio. You can just phone and make an appointment.

If you're able, I'd see one now and see what they can do. I have a low tolerance for anything that stops me from sleeping!

Good luck! I hope you're able to sort it out quickly.
