Hi girls,

My lovely new OB mainly delivers at Norwest private, i have never been there before and have heard mixed reviews. he also delivers at the SANS a hospital i am very familiar with , i am not a huge fan i don't think the midwives are that crash hot and when i had my DD there 5 years ago i was not impressed with the lactation consultant massive cow....but i am familiar with the sans and know what to expect although Michael was born sleeping there so i know walking through those doors again will bring back a lot of sadness and emotions etc

Please let me know your opinions on which hospital to pick

I had both mine at the San, however, if you have such bad memories then don't go back.

A close friend of ours had both Hers at norwest private and totally recommended it. As a matter of fact, a lot of my MIL's friends are midwives and they actually work at both hospitals too. Perhaps that doesn't not help you so much but these ladies are lovely I can assure you.

Thanks Unatheowl my Ob was saying it's different to the sans but i should check it out he said a change is as good as a holiday and i think he's right i am mainly leaning towards Norwest private so i don't have that reminder of michael's loss when it's time and i don't have to bump into my old OB.....our last conversation was not pleasant i gave him a peace of my mind!!!!!!

Really need to update my blog next week and put it all there

You can always go for a visit there and see if it is a place that feels right to you. I couldn't imagine going back to a place which was associated with such bad memories. You shouldn't have to.

Hi, I had DS at norwest in 2010 and I'm due to have this one in march at norwest again. I can't rave highly enough about it. Accomodation was great, food was great, partners can stay if you want, there is a nursing room which I would go to for every breastfeed and always has a midwife on duty to help with feeding issues.

Their scn was also great so were the nurses who worked in there. I rang the midwives the other night as I was worried about something and they told me to go on in and were wonderful just to put my mind at ease.

Hi girls,

Thanks for the feedback i actually decided to go back to the SANS, i have had both my babies there and i know the midwives and i am very comfortable with the hospital, even though my 2nd birth was under very tragic circumstances i still had a very positive experience.....

I am very happy with my decision and my new OB confirmed that in his opinion the SANS is the best hospital out of the 3 private hospitals in our area original.gif
