Just wanting to know all you TTC ladies out there or even the mums if you have/did cut back on coffee while TTC?

I have one cup of instant in the mornings now and maybe if we go shopping i'll grab a real one but thats very rare. I don't think I could give up my morning coffee but if it made a huge difference I guess I would make myself. I've found alot of conflicting reports on how/if it affects fertility so I would love to hear some of your experiences original.gif

When I was TTC I had my morning cup and maybe a real coffee during the day some days. I have been successful and am now expecting baby number 1. I have stopped drinking coffee now I am pregnant, I feel that you cant deny yourself the things you enjoy.

I have only my experience to go on. I cut out all coffee except for a 'chai' mix I used to have in the mornings at work, and got a BFN for three months. I then discovered the chai mix contained caffeine. I stopped drinking it and the next month BFP. So it worked for me.

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
I did both times and have reduced my caffeine intake during both pregnancies. Coke was my poison.

I gave up coffee 3 months before we started TTC, and we were lucky enough to fall pregnant straight away. Who knows if there was any connection, but I will be doing the same when we start TTC no. 2

I don't drink coffee, but love Coke and have pretty much given it up. I allow myself a few glasses or cans during my period as consolation Tounge1.gif

I LOVE coffee. When TTC I cut down a bit (say from 5 cups a day to 3). When PG down to 1 (or 2 towards the end). If I had thought it was affecting me I guess I would have cut down a lot more (both times got pg first go)

I was starting to wonder if it was affecting me but I read instant coffee only has 60-80mg of caffeine and I don't drink soft drink. I guess I will give it one more month and then if it doesnt happen this time I'll go a month without it. Your stories differ here too so I guess just depends on the woman?
