Hand over the chocolate and no one gets hurt
I found the following email from Paypal in my inbox today:

PayPal Email ID PP296

This email looks like the others I have received from Paypal, but it wasn't addressed to me personally (usually paypal emails are addressed to my full name) and I can't think why my credit card would have been removed. I checked my Paypal account (not using this link tho) and there is no indication that there have been any changes made to my credit card. The last transaction was on 22/12, which is correct, so all good.

Is this a scam? It looks like it is a dodgy email to me, so thought I would ask, in case anyone else receives this.

Scam.

PayPal states that all emails from them will always include your username. They are never generic "Dear PayPal user" emails.

Scam. We had one similar a while ago and on closer inspection of the email address it was sent from the "l" was an "I"- very dodgy.

My husband showed me that when you hover over the link most scams will come up with a different email address to what is actually shown on the email.

The other thing is that makes me think it is a scam is that real email from Paypal says Paypal not PayPal.
