when i grow up i wanna be like me
I posted this in the WA forum aswell but am hoping others here will know more.

Does anyone know of any kids movies coming out at the cinema any time over the holidays? DD has asked for me to take her to the movies for the first time, I am unsure how she will go so don't want to take her to see something I want to actually watch myself (I plan on taking DS1 to the Rise Of The Guardians, but I really want to see this myself so dont want to have to leave half way through if it scares her), I had a look on IMDB and there was nothing there. Are they just not having anything these holidays?

Looks like slim pickings for little kids over the next few months. Had a look at coming attractions and the only G rater is Monsters Inc 3D. Apart from that there are a couple of PG animated movies (Paranorman and Wreck It Ralph)but they look to have lots of zombies, ghosts, monsters etc. One of our local theatres has outdoor family movies in summer and some of the local clubs have movie nights as well. It might pay to check out some venues other thatn the mainstream cinemas in your area.

My Little Pony is running as part of Hoyts Jnr until Dec 16.

It's just three episodes of the TV show. I think most (if not all) Hoyts Jnr sessions are adults at kids prices, so not too much to spend if you do have to leave early!

We just went to see Rise of the guardians today with DS5 and DS4 they loved it, so did I, there are some kinda scary scenes like scary "night" mare horses that are horses made of black sand but even the bad guy isnt 'that' bad I think.

All the kid movies seem to be spooky or a bit old, Madagascar 3 is apparently still showing in some cinemas and that was pretty good
