So DH and I have finally agreed on girls names. Here is the short list:

Evie Lorelei (my fave but I think using Evangeline nn Evie would give her more options in the future IYKWIM)
Evangeline Winter (DH fave)
Evangeline Hope (MN being family name)
Evangeline Lorelei (feels a bit long winded)

DD is Harper Emilie.

All are nms really but Evangeline Hope would be my pick. I really don't like Lorelei.

Remember you are unique...just like everyone else!
I prefer Evie as I just can't imagine that she will ever end up using her full name Evangeline'even as an adult.

Love Evangeline Winter and I would think that you would use the full name in future.

I also love you DD1's name wub.gif

My pick is Evie Lorelei. Why? Because the combo works nicely and to go with big sister Harper.

I don't think Evangeline works particularly well with Harper.

Of the Evangeline combos Evangeline Hope is the pick. Evangeline Winter is OK but doesn't really 'gel'. I think you need a one-syllable MN with Evangeline. And yeah with Lorelei it's just too much.

As regards choices when she gets older, how many do you want? She could call herself Eve for short.

Evangeline does have a host of NN's but that would not be reason enough to choose it for me, the sibset would.

ETA I like the 2+ 3 syllable pattern for the sisters and I think Lorelei is a lovely change for a MN. So even more so Evie Lorelei.

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
I'd go Evie Hope or Evie Lorelai. If she's older she can always just use Eve. I'm not a fan of Evangeline though.

Thank you original.gif

Godrun I have had issues with the clash of Harper and Evangeline -- one being short, unisex the other long, very feminine. But I thought as she will most likely get Evie anyway and if she decides she prefers Evangeline when she is older it will matter less what her sisters name is. It does play on my mind though.

Not a fan of Ava/Eva, probably because more name associations I have people I know/have met rather than actually disliking the name though.
