I thought that my hound strength sense of smell was a novelty at first. Now, I just want my old nose back
The smell of my DH is really getting to me and has never bothered me this much before. I'm not saying he is an awful smelling person - I usually don't notice him smelling at all (unless he has been at the gym or fishing) but lately I can't stand being close to him When will my smell return to normal????? PS. DH is not the only smell that bothers me there are lots!!!! it is just the one that gets to me the most |

My DS is now 15 months and I still find my sense of smell a bit heightened. Maybe it's an evolutionary thing - sniffing out danger to our children - not so great at nappy time.
Nothing like what it was though - when I was pregnant I correctly identified the woman sitting across from me at work had put sugar in her coffee, but not stirred it, just from the smell. |

Mine is not as acute as it was in the first trimester (2nd now), but there are still smells that set me off. The smell of perfume was overpowering and made me wretch, now it's just unpleasant.

I've heard it may never go back to normal. After my first pregnancy (I had a REALLY strong sense of smell) I still had a pretty good sense of smell up until this pregnancy too. This time around I haven't noticed it much other than being completely averted to the smell of tuna. Sometimes I've smelled weird things on my husband when he's never smelled funny before.

I am 38 weeks and mine is just as bad as when I first fell pregnant. My nose is constantly irritated. Sorry OP, I hope this isnt the case for you!
