I was warned there might be some light bleeding (vaginal) post op, which I had experienced and that it would last 24 to 48 hours post op. My surgery was on Wednesday and this morning I have started to bleed again and a bit heavier. I am now on my own and have no access to help and I just want to know if this is a normal reaction in case I need to start trying to find someone to drive me to get checked out and look after the kids etc.

I have no idea if its normal, but since its past the 48 hours and you feel getting heavier I would def call your post-op number or local hospital to ask what to do.

Thanks for asking. I did try to call but it is a business hours only number and the message say to present to the ED if you feel it is life threatening which I dont think it is.

I think I may have been overdoing it because I just dont have any help and so tried to get back on my feet a bit too soon. Have rested up today and the bleeding has settled for the moment.

Hi. I had a cystectomy on the 8 Oct. I had bleeding for about 4 or 5 day after. The 2 weeks later had af and it was very very heavy and i had it for about 8 days. Can i ask what caused your cyst? Mine was caused by endometrious (?) which i had noidea i had. Im in the process of more follow up due to the endo.
I hope you start to feel better soon. Mine took about 10 days all up to feel normal again
