27 month old milk addiction at night, Doing my head in!!!!

My 27 month old DD drinks way too much milk through the night and I want to try and break the habit. At bedtime she will have one sippy cup and then demand another. Sometimes she will ask for a third but I don't give it and we go through the same scenario with her asking and me saying no and then she gives up. If she wakes again through the night she will ask for more at which time ill give her a small amount as I know it will get her back to sleep. I'm watering it all down as its far too much dairy but she is obviously wetting through pjs and sleeping bag often so I've taken to putting her in 2 nappies!!!! How can I break this and get her back to sleeping through!? TiA

Just say no? Honestly, I'd be putting my foot down and saying after the first cup that it's no more milk till morning and standing firm. Offer water during the night( I have a sippy cup in the cot with my 2.6yr old) and nothing else. She'll learn to go without and she'll stop hassling you when you stand firm for a while. Is she eating enough at dinner time? Is she hungry?

Thanks Jenflea. She eats very well so she's not hungry. I do try to stick to my guns saying no but she starts yelling "miilllkkkk" at me and I don't want her to wake her sleeping baby sister so I just give it to her to keep her quiet. Often I'm alone doing the bed time routine and getting her into bed so I find it hard when she's screaming for more milk and then the other one wakes. May its time to sucking up and deal with her carrying on...I wish there was an easier way.

Feed her enough dinner. Get her a water bottle. Sounds like she's hungry and/or thirsty.

Or wait till Christmas if your partner(if you have one) is home for a week or so. That's when I'm planning on taking the sides off my daughter's cot. When we don't need to go out much and can sleep in if she gets up a million times a night for a while. Maybe talk to her during the day for a few days in the lead up to cutting out the milk.
