Hi Ladies,
After some opinions on our short lists and also some ideas as to how we can get around the fact that DH and i cannot agree on boys names - i still have 5 months to go and we wont find out what we are having. we would like to use family names either as firsts or second. Give me your best combinations .. as i may not have thought of it - or any other names that you think will suit our style last name starts with a K and is harsh very central/east european sound. Girls Klara (family name) Penelope Freya Greta Peyton Alexandra (family name) Lee (family name) Lucinda Josephine (family name) Ingrid Helene/Helena Clemetine Boys - all family names except for Luca Patrick Rollo Luca David Sam Joseph/Josef John Roy (DH will not budge on this one) Edward My Faves are Klara Penelope (not sure about K first and last name) and Patrick Rollo (sentimental) |

I think all the names are lovely and could use any except Roy. Roy just doesn't do it for me, and I really dislike it, sorry.
I like Alexandra Josephine and Patrick Rollo |

Thanks Ladies Bakesgirls - i feel similar to Roy ... i thought What The! when DH announces that is what he will name his son! .. Ahh no It has grown on me a little but i prefer Patrick as that was my GF's middle name and we were both very close to him...Roy is DH GreatGF .. whom he never met. (Rollo was his middle name which i quite like as it is different) |

There's a LOT of nice combos of your girls names but some of my favourites are:
Josephine Penelope Alexandra Helene Penelope Lee Ingrid Alexandra Lucinda Helene Boys Patrick Rollo - liked this a lot. Patrick Joseph John Rollo John David Patrick Roy - I don't hate Roy actually, though I probably wouldn't use it as a first. It reminds me of cowboys and has a gentle vintage feel. John and Patrick are great examples of classic names that aren't all that popular. If we're dragging non-family names into it, for some obscure reason I can't truly justify I like Joel and Josiah more than Joseph. |

Would you spell Klara as Clara to avoid double letters?
Clara Penelope is gorgeous. Helene/Helena is my favourite from your girls list. Helena Lee is nice. From your boys list I really like Patrick Rollo and Edward Rollo. |

I like Alexandra, Helene / Helena, Greta and Freya from your girls list, and Patrick and Luca from your boys list. The rest are varying degrees of NMS.
Greta Helene would be my favourite combination. |
