Going away next weekend and I want to tan up, especially on my legs, tops of my thighs in particular (looking a bit like Casper ATM).
I don't want to get a spray tan as I had one last time I went away and within days it was gone. My girlfiend told me that salt water will remove a fake tan faster.... anyone else heard this? So hit me with your best fake tan product - preferably under $30. ETA - I might also add - I've tried the J&J gradual tan cream and it was too orange for me. I want a brown sunkissed look This post has been edited by belinda1976: 27/11/2012, 01:07 PM |

All 'gradual' moisturiser tans go streaky and orange on me (I have very pale skin). I like a proper spray tan or ones you slather yourself in and leave overnight. I think there is a St Tropez one which is quite good.

I have always been a st tropez fan although it isn't cheap but worth it. It is very easy to apply, you can't go wrong!

I use the Sunsense Bronze Shield. It's awesome.
It's easy to apply as you can see where you are putting as it is brown liquid not white like alot on the market. No streaks, no smell and best of all, it washes off at the end of the day in the shower and you can re-apply the next day. It's about $20. |

Moo Goo have a new gradual one - although I found it only needed one or two applications. And it wasn't orangey. It's called "How Now Brown Cow" and you can get it from some chemists or online.

I love Vani-T Liquid Sun Tanning Mist. Lasts well on me and is great if you want a product with none of the usual nasties. You apply the liquid to the skin and leave for 6-8 hours before washing off (much like the salon products).
I used the Vani-T Tanning Custard to extend the tan for a few more days. Only problem is I had to order online as they were not available locally. |

Why not pay for a spray tan? You can often find places that will do them for $25-$30 and the coverage will be better than you can manage on your own.
Naked Tan is green-based and a brand I'd recommend. |

PP you obviously didn't read my opening post
I had a spray tan for my last beach holiday and within days (like 3 days) it had dissapeared - apparently from the salt water. |
