"Pnut"
So, while browsing my guilty pleasure (journalistic rubbish but delightful trash, Daily Mail), I came across an article about a Russian makeup artist who can apparently turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. Looking at the photos I can see he certainly has skill, but the last photo has me wondering just how much! What do you think, has her nose really been whittled away by makeup or has someone been over-zealous with Photoshop?

Full article with more photos here.

Her nose is completely different, her forehead is now narrower ... Photoshop!

I think they all pretty much look fake except for one or two and the porn-star (as opposed to 'covergirl') look isn't something I'd go for anyway!

After looking at all the pics. Yes I think it's the makeup, you can see their best features that are highlighted with the makeup.

I agree.
The nose does make you think it might be photoshopped but all the others highlighted their best features.

I think there is some photoshopping.
Yikes it's a lot of makeup though. The eye makeup in some of the photos is a tad excessive to me!

I think it's make-up. She's also posing differently in the second - not smiling so much.

I also LOVE the Daily Mail ph34r.gif

Had a look at the article now and have to say most of the 'afters' look awful! That sort of make-up wouldn't work in every day life either - good for photos, awful otherwise.

If you watch some youtube videos of more 'extreme' makeup, you can see how they use areas of shadows and then of light to trick you into say thinking her nose is smaller or forehead narrower. I'm not sure if this particular makeup artist uses photoshop or not, but there are some amazingly talented makeup artists. I have seen makeup done to make an average girl look like she has very large doll eyes.

I don't even wear makeup and isn't into it at all, but it really is a form of art. I can see the beauty and talent in it, even if it isn't my cup of tea.

All of that can be done with makeup and lighting. There would be so many layers on there that it is not something you could wear outside, just in a studio with lots of lights and reflectors!

I saw Kim Kardashian's makeup being done once and couldn't believe how much they used and how it transformed her.
