Silver!!!
Hi there, hoping you girls don't mind if I join you here. I have been stalking the oct and nov 2ww groups and have now got up the courage to post. I have never posted on a forum before!
About me. I have a beautiful dd from my previous marriage amd have been ttc for a couple of years with my wonderful DP. He has retrograde and we were told ICSI is pretty much our only option.
Did our first IVF in Oct with 5 eggs collected, 4 fertilized and 3 going on to blasts. 1 transferred with BFN.
Had my month off and now am desperately waiting for Af before the looming Xmas cutoff for a FET. Normally I am very regular and am already a day late this month mad.gif
Really hoping to join everyone in the dec 2ww.

Hi All

Quick update to say I got a BFP yesterday but spent the day in hospital. My GP suspects another ectopic given my history.

I got released from hospital last night and will be monitored every 2 days until they find the pregnancy.

Please keep your fingers, toes and eyes crossed for me. I can't handle a 3rd ectopic pg .... I pray this little bean is in the right spot.

cme hhugs.gif I am so sorry to hear of you DH’s results. And I completely understand his view of wanting no one to know of your problems. I think Brookstar has some great advice. Don’t be scared to go to counselling if you need to talk to someone. Out of interest why would a scheduled EPU cause a failed cycle down the track for you? I am still so new to all of this that I don’t understand everything yet. Good luck with your decision ahead. I can see your view on wanting BIL as a donor so that they have the same genes but then I can also see why your DH wouldn’t want that too.
I just started my cycle and have injected myself twice now all by myself. They gave me the rest of my medication this-morning for the cycle and I had a blood test to check how things are going. So I’m just waiting for the phone call now to see what’s next.
STL oh good luck!! Typical that our cycles are late when we need it to be on time! I was 3 days late last cycle before my first round of IVF.
Brookstar Firstly Congratulations on your BFP original.gif I’m hoping with all that I have that your little one is in the right place. Try as hard as you can to take your mind off it and relax.. Easier said than done I know.

Brookstar good luck and I'm sorry that you are getting ambiguous results again sad.gif Hopefully he is just a slowbie and has found the right place to nestle in original.gif

STL welcome to the group! I understand your frustration. I've just missed the xmas cut off for a FET because AF was late after a stim cycle. Waaaay late... 2 weeks. Dumb AF rant.gif Oh well. I'm hoping she is better behaved for you! Good luck!

Brookstar I've been thinking of you. Have you had any eptopic symptoms or are they just basing it on history? I really hope it works out this time.

Wishing2011 Thanks for your support. They cancelled because unfertalised eggs don't freeze well. As I understand it, I would have been lucky to be left with one or 2 eggs when they thaw them and I'd still have to pay the full cycle costs plus the extra thaw. I decided I'd prefer to start the cycle again with a donor rather than proceeding with reduced odds, both for the cost and the emotional experience.

STL Welcome, sorry you missed the cutoff. Here's hoping for a fresh start in the new year.

Dadora Just saw your post in the general thread.Tough call on the FS. I'd probably stay with the clinic.

AFM We're taking it pretty easy. The clinic sent out the paperwork for a sperm donor but it says we have to see the councilor before we register. I'll call up to calrify but we may as well get moving on the compulsory sessions. I was hoping to see what was available on the anon list first so we could talk about it. I'll call up tomorrow to book the appointment. DH is still recovering (warning TMI) he insisted on checking that his junk still works last nigh and is in more pain today as a consequence. It looks like we'll be going down the anon donor path but I'm still just thinking through what that would mean.

Brookstar - I have all my fingers and toes crossed that things come out right for you. Wishing - well done on giving yourself injections. I thought I would be fine with it but in the end I was very glad I never had to because I did get a bit squeamish.
Thanks for the kind words from everyone. AF came last night and I was on the phone to the clinic first thing and they have booked me in so we get another chance before the end of the year - YAY rolleyes.gif
So strange that a month ago I was praying for it to not turn up and this month I couldn't wait for it to come.

I am already dreading the 2ww - it turned me into a crazy woman last time. wacko.gif
My first blood test will be next fri with an ultrasound on sat. Does anyone know what the tests are for ovulation in a natural FET- is it estrogen? What are they looking for on the ultrasound?

Welcome to the group – the ladies here are awesome! Wishing you lots of luck for a BFP in December.

Thanks for your kind words. I’m hanging in there … just!

Dadora
Can you believe I’m back in this position again just 4 months after the last lost? Thanks for your kind words hun. Sorry to hear you missed the FET cut off …. Let the countdown being to Jan!

CME
The ectopic symptoms I have so far …. low hCG level and an annoying pain in my left side. The pain gets worse at night time after I eat dinner.
My past ectopic pregnancies I was bleeding heavily and had lots of free fluid in my pelvis … I’ve had none of that so far. Hoping that’s a good sign. I’m running to the toilet every 10min checking for spotting and every twinge, cramp and pain I get I think it’s my tube rupturing. Anxious much?
Now, about you ….. the counseling will help you and hubby decide what avenue to take first. Our first two sessions, we didn’t even discuss sperm donors, we just talked about the journey so far and how we were feeling. I was apprehensive about the compulsory counseling at first, but now I think it was a God-send.
HAHAHA about your hubbys expedition. I hope he starts to feel better soon. TESE surgery can be so painful for these boys of ours.

AFM, my HCG increased to 90 yesterday. Still very low for 17DPO. I’m having a repeat beta test on Saturday (19DPO) and if I don’t miscarry over the weekend, I have an appt on Monday (21DPO/6w) for another beta test and an ultrasound. Exciting times ahead {enter sarcasm here}

Oh Brookstar I hope it isn't Ectopic hhugs.gif I hope your HCG starts to jump up nicely too.

STL thank you original.gif

CME that makes sense. I think I would have made the same decision as you based on that too.

AFM. I had to lower my Puregon dosage thismorning and introduce Orgalutran. Bit scary but I did it original.gif I hate injecting myself.I get all worked up about it and then it really isn't that hard... But thismorning I got an instant rash from the Puregon all blotchy around where I injected and I got a red rash around where I injected the Orgalutran too. I called the nurses who told me it isn't normal for the Puregon to do that but it disappeared quick enough.
This afternoon I'm feeling like I'm going to throw up. Is that normal? Or maybe I need to eat something as I didn't have much for lunch.
