I will have a 4yo with me, and I need to find something for a Christmas party friday night and I don't have a lot of time to do it in. Turns out this past year has been good to me and my a*se and boobs have both expanded, nothing dressy fits!

The occasion is pretty dressy, ideally I'd like to spend $50 (planning on losing the weight) but will go up to $100 if I have to.

I will have between 9.30am and 12 to find said dress, and the starting point (school drop off) is Sydney Road Fawkner.

Where should I go?

(and I check out Target online but nothing grabbed me)

Is there a Westfield out that way? I am vague about distances but I am sure there is a DFO out near the airport which might not be that far

edited to say that the DFO is about 20 mins from where you are

Not sure what size you are, but there is a TS 14+ factory outlet in Sydney Rd Fawkner, just before the Ring Rd and next to Fawkner Bingo.

Otherwise, you could try Northland shopping centre or take a wander down the Sydney Rd shops in Coburg and or Brunswick (although that may be a bit harder with a little one with you)

I would go to DFO in Essendon.

I was there last week and every shop is having a sale.

You've also got a heap of shops under one roof if you're strapped for time.

I was going to suggest Sydney Road in Brunswick, but with your budget and a toddler I'd second PP's suggestion of DFO in Essendon. Good luck! original.gif

I've been wanting to check out Sydney Road (also High St Northcote - but that's too far I think), but I'm after that guarentee of getting something.

Bridge Rd Richmond would be worth a look. About 15mins drive from there

if you are wanting the guarantee of getting something then I would definitely head to the DFO. Another thought is to zip round the ring road into Docklands. That place is dead and retailers are desperate to get people in there so you might be lucky and get a bargain

really? I thought Richmond was further away than that. But it might be worth a go too as there is a cluster of shops there. I would avoid it though because parking might be more of an issue with a child in tow

High St Northcote has some great dresses but you'd be looking at between $100 and $200 at least- won't find anything for $50 - same with the boutiques on Sydney rd Brunswick.
I'd go DFO - there's a huge range.

And Richmond from Fawkner would take at least 40 minutes I reckon!
