I need som creative inspiration. Today one of my neighbours (a picture framer) cleared out his garage and had stacks of free frames on his front nature strip. I went a bit nuts and now have about 40 frames, mostly square and rectangular in both gold and dark wood tones. Some very ornate antique type ones, range of sizes from over a metre long to tiny squares.
They don't have glass or backings, just the frames only.
I'm thinking I want to do something creative with them, so hit me with some ideas. I have a lounge room wall behind my couch begging for decoration, not to mentions other walls in the house.
I am a creative dunce so nothing too tricky! What would you do with them?

n [ˈaɪtəm] 3. a piece of information, detail, or note
Staple gun beautiful fabrics to the back of most, and have a few print properly framed and hang in a huge collage. May have to paint some frames.

I've always liked this idea:

Fill with cork board and arrange close together like tetris. Can display kids artwork, or current photos.

I'd start by painting all the frames the same colour.... They would be great on one wall... You could do canves photos or gorgeous fabric... (spotlight)

Do you have pierced ears by any chance?

DH made earring hangers for me a few years back. He used mesh from a laundry bag (you could use fly wire) and stapled it to the back of the frame. You hang your drop-style earrings in the holes.

Happy crafting biggrin.gif

Edited becasue I tried to added photos... and then a link... Google earring holder frame

I'd fill an ornate one with a lightweight MDF and paint with chalkboard paint
