So we are exepecting number 3 and have a Kluger 5 seater (seems big) but it still looks like a squeeze to fit three in.

My plan at the beginning is to have the baby in a steelcraft capsule. I also have a maxirider AHR - where DD1 who is 5 (weight is 19kgs) sits

DD2 age 3 (weight is 17kgs) is in a another wide carseat like the maxirider but it goes from birth to 18 kgs (cant remember the name).

All three current seats dont fit - so should I buy a slim line seat for DD1 - any advice which one to get?

Put DD2 is the Maxirider AHR?

Baby in the capsule?

Any advice on what you have in a car this size with 3 kids and which order is the safest/ easiest.

We have a mazda 6 sedan. When all three were in seats DD1 was in an infa vario booster, DD2 in a maxirider and DD3 in a (steelcraft) capsule. We then moved on to 2 infa vario boosters and a SNS campaq (both rear and forward facing. Now DD1 is out of a booster, DD2 is still in the vario and DD3 is in a infa convertable booster (currently in 5 pt harness mode.

It can be a tight squeeze with the lap sash belts for the boosters but otherwise we have had no problems.

Maxi rider and meridian are some of the largest seats.

Sns compaq is slim, my 5.5yo is still in the 5pt harness of this seat. It also works well next to a booster seat as it is a higher sitting seat which allows you to get I to do up the belts.

Infa vario is a narrow booster.

If you can, I would look at something like the new MaxiRider Easy Adjust for your 5-year-old (if he fits under the shoulder markers for the harness - otherwise an SnS Hiliner or Infa Vario booster). The MR Easy Adjust is slimmer than current MRs and much taller.

Is he still using the in-built harness in the Maxi Rider AHR? The Easy Adjust has higher height markers than the AHR model.

And then maybe a Infa Kompressor for your three-year-old (and then your baby could go into it once the capsule is outgrown). Kompressor has a very narrow base which helps with 3-across. Or an SnS Compaq or Lifestyle.

It shows that there can be some difficulty accessing seatbelts with three seats across, so it will be easier if you can have all three kids in an in-built harness for as long as possible.

My car is smaller than yours (small SUV) and I can fit 3 across the back - just. I also have a 5 year old and almost 3 year old plus newborn. My priority was keeping baby in a capsule just for the ease of school drop off etc, I already had the Strider capsule as it fits my pram. I did have to buy my middle child a new seat as she was in the SNS Meridian which was just too wide - I bought her a SNS compaq, and my 5 year old is still in his hipod senator (like a maxrider but slimmer). My 5 year old is 18 kgs so still uses the 5 point harness, I don't think there is room with the capsule to use the seat in booster mode. But it works for now and the baby will be in a slimmer seat soon enough once she has outgrown the capsule - the capsule is actually the widest of my 3 so I will put baby in the compaq, 3 year old in the senator and buy a hiliner (slim dedicated booser) for my 5 year old when the time comes.

You need to look at shape of the seats and the widths of them and try to puzzle them in together.
