So this morning I weighed myself before going for a jog, I was slightly dissapointed with the results so I pushed myself a little hard but not out of the norm, came home did some crunches and squats, then for the hell of it weighed myself again, and the scales came up that I'd lost 600 grams. For what its worth in that time period I hadn't eaten, gone to the toilet, changed clothes, etc.

Is that possible? It seems impossible to me.. Can you actually loose 600 grams just from a jog? Or is it just weight fluctuation and convenient weighing by me?

Probably you standing on the weights differently, so the weight was distributed differently. There is no way that a jog can have immediate results.

Could also possibly be fluid loss, from sweating.

Makes sense it's bloody hot. tongue.gif That's what I thought it is not logically possible, but couldn't find another excuse, sweating is highly likely, thanks original.gif

You will definitely sweat out fluid but probably not 600gms. I find when my scales start to fluctuate a bit I need to replace the batteries original.gif

As PPs said, sounds like fluid loss, or issues with the scales.

In my experience some scales are also just inherently dodgy. I can weigh myself 3 times in a 2 minute window, and get readings that vary by up to 2kg (no matter how new the batteries are). So annoying!

I have a funny feeling you weigh more afterwards, something to do with fluid replacement. I could be way off though.

Was watching Embarrassing bodies the other day and they did a test and on a winters day in England, one person lost 1kg of sweat in a single exercise session. So it could be just sweat!

On another note, I weighed myself this morning and it was depressing. Maybe I need to go running laugh.gif
